英会話で困るのは言葉に詰まること、言葉が続かないことでしょう。

何を言うのか頭で考えている間にも時間は過ぎて行きます。

何を言おうか躊躇していると無言の時間ができてしまいます。

会話が途切れたり、間が空いたり、ちょっと冷めてくるかも知れません。

ちょっとした間を埋める方法はないのでしょうか？

何を言おうか迷っている間のちょっとした無言の時間を

うまく埋めるために可能な方法が「繋ぎ言葉」を使うことです。

日本語でも、要するに、とか閑話休題とか、いろいろあります。

ちょっとしたひとことの繋ぎ言葉で会話も繋がり、

ちょっとした無言の時間を埋めることもできるのです。

そんな繋ぎ言葉をうまく会話の中で使ってみましょう。

 

１．「追加」のための繋ぎ言葉

会話の中で言葉が出てこない時に無言になるよりも

ちょっとしたシンプルなひとことで無言の時間を埋めましょう。

ついつい日本語でアーとかウーとか意味のないつぶやきが

思わず出て来そうですが、アーとかウーの代わりに

ちょっとしたひとことで間を埋める「技」を覚えてください。

英単語をひとつひとつ覚えるよりも関連付けると言うことを

繰返しここでは触れてきています。今回もその関連です。

英単語はひとつひとつ覚えるよりも

同義語や反対語の対にして覚えるのが効率的です。

同じような意味の英単語をグループで覚えると

一層効率が上がるでしょう。

今回は反対語を確認してみます。

ほとんど既に知っている英単語ばかりだと思います。

対にして整理して覚えることを意識してみましょう。

間違いはほとんどがうっかりミスです。

ケアレスミスを出来るだけなくすように注意しましょう。

日本語に早口言葉があるように英語にも早口言葉があります。

活舌を良くするために実際に喋って見て練習してみましょう。

最初はゆっくり読んでみて、徐々に読むスピードを上げて行きます。

舌を咬むかもしれませんが、慣れるまでゆっくり発音してみます。

機械と違って口に油を差す訳には行きません。

ゆっくり読んで、徐々に早く読むように練習するだけです。

慣れてくればスムーズに言えるようになるでしょう。
