英会話で喋る場合は余り関係ありませんが、

英文を書く時にコンマを使います。

そのコンマの使い方を正しく理解することも大事です。

何となくコンマを使っていないでしょうか？

間違って使うことはないかも知れませんが、

何となく使っているコンマの使い方を

整理して再確認しておきましょう。

 

コンマの使い方を整理すると次のような分類ができます。

１．英単語を並列する時

I’ve been to New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Do you want to have a cup of coffee, tea or any soft drink?

We met Mary, Jessica, Cathy and Julia yesterday.

 

２．いくつかのフレーズを並列する時

She likes playing tennis, studying English and listening to music.

 

３．ふたつの文章をつなげる役割

I have a bicycle, but it’s too old.

She has been very busy, therefore she couldn’t have a vacation.

 

４．文章の導入部の働きをする時

Regarding the next plan, we need to discuss more in detail.

Having finally arrived in town, we could have something to eat.

 

５．注意をひく単語の区切りとして

Hey, don’t tell me a lie.

Yes, I can do that work by tomorrow.

Well, that will be fine for me.

 

６．括弧の代わりに説明文を追加する役割として

My car, which I bought last year, have some mechanical problem

We visited Orland, Florida, two year ago.

Her father, old and sick, is still staying in the hospital.

 

７．複数の形容詞を使う時に

She is a beautiful, elegant and smart woman.

He felt very confident, powerful and ambitious.

 

８．引用文を持って来る時に

She asked me, “Do you want to talk with me?”

 

９．対比するための文章を繋げる時

He is a hard worker, but a bad singer.

You have a bright future before you, not behind you.

 

10．文章に多少の「間」を置きたい時に

We did our best, however, we couldn’t win.

She, after all, came to the meeting without a notice.

 

11．日付けや住所等を書く時に

The next meeting will be on Monday, July 22, 2019.

12.  付加疑問文を使う時に

Let’s talk about the plan, shall we?

You are going to the party, are you?

There is nothing wrong, is there?

 

英文を書く時にはコンマを必ず使います。

正しく、そして効果的にコンマを使うためにも

コンマの正しい使い方、例文を一度整理して確認しておきましょう。

海外旅行に行って急に具合が悪くなったらどうしますか？

ホテルで医者を紹介してもらうとか、薬局で必要な薬を買うかも知れません。

あまり起こっては欲しくないことですが、旅行中は何が起こるやら。

エアコンが効きすぎて風邪をひくこともあるでしょう。

屋台で食事をしたら後でお腹を壊したと言うこともありがちです。

実際にあっては困ることですが、万一の場合に備えて

具合が悪くなって医者にかかった時の英会話フレーズを見ておきましょう。

何かの時のために知っておくことも役に立つでしょう。

 

• I have a headache.   What is wrong with me?  頭痛が。何でしょう。
• I have a cold for three days. ここ3日程風邪気味で。
• I feel sick and painful.  具合が悪くて痛いです。
• I am asthmatic.  喘息で。
• My joints are aching.   節々が痛くて
• I have a sore throat.   喉が痛くて
• I’ve been feeling depressed.  ちょっと気落ちして
• My legs feel weak.   足が弱くなっています。
• I’ve got a sprained ankle.   捻挫してしまいました。
• I am diabetic.   糖尿なんです。
• I cut my finger.  指を切りました。
• My arm is sore.   腕が痛いです。
• I have a rash on my arm.  Very itchy.  腕に湿疹が。とても痒い。
• I lost my appetite.    食欲がありません。
• I feel a sharp pain here.  ここがとても痛いです。

 

海外で万一医者にかかる時には自分の症状を

簡潔に説明する必要がありますが、

英語ではなかなか説明するのは難しいでしょう。

ある程度パターンのフレーズを覚えておくと

いざと言う時にとても役に立つでしょう。

シンプルなフレーズを覚えておいて活かしてみましょう。

英語の動詞の時制は、結構面倒です。受験英語でも苦労しました。

日常会話ではすべてを使う必要もありませんが

一応英語の動詞の時制12種類について再確認です。

英語の動詞の時制は、12種類もありますが、

インドネシア語の動詞は、いたってシンプルです。

基本的に動詞は原形しかなく時制の変化がありません。

こんなシンプルな言語も世界にはあるのです。

時制がなくてどうやって時間を表すのか不思議に思いませんか？

それも簡単で副詞を使います。既にとかまだとか今とか言えばそれでお終い。

何とシンプルで合理的な言語なのでしょう。

ややこしい動詞の変化を覚えることもなく原形だけです。

さて英語の動詞の時制の12種類、整理しておきましょう。

 

1. 現在形　　これは簡単。 I go to the station.
2. 現在進行形　進行中です。　I am going to the station.
3. 現在完了形　終わったばかり。He has completed the work.
4. 現在完了進行形　　They have been studying economics.
5. 過去形　終わったこと。　I went to the cinema yesterday.
6. 過去進行形　He has been talking with friends when I visited.
7. 過去完了形　She has finished the speech just in time.
8. 過去完了進行形　They had been playing tennis.
9. 未来形　先のこと。　I will go to the office tomorrow.
10. 未来進行形　　　I will be studying in the library tomorrow morning.
11. 未来完了形　　 She will not have done cooking by this evening.
12. 未来完了進行形　He will have been teaching at school.

 

動詞の時制も整理してみるとシンプルです。

すべてを日常会話で使う機会もそう多くはないでしょう。

一度整理して理解しておけばいざと言う時に迷わないと思います。

 

 

英会話が上達するコツは効率化です。

英単語をひとつひとつ覚えるよりもカタマリにすること。

関連する単語を繋げたカタマリで覚えるようにしましょう。

関連づける、連想ゲーム方式で考える、それもひとつのコツです。

連想ゲーム方式で繋げたり、カタマリで覚えると

意外とスムーズに記憶に定着するものです。

力仕事で頭に押し込まないことです。

繋がりやカタマリに注意しながら

形容詞と前置詞のフレーズをチェックします。

 

• acquainted with   良く知っている　I am acquainted with him.
• accused of 告発されて　He is accused of murder.
• accustomed to 慣れた　I am accustomed to that tradition.
• addicted to 中毒で　He is addicted to cigarettes.
• afraid of 恐れて　I am afraid of a dog.
• allergic to アレルギーで　She is allergic to wheat.
• angry about 怒って　She is angry about the issue.
• annoyed with 悩んで　He is annoyed with the complaints.
• anxious about 心配して　I am anxious about it.
• ashamed of 恥じて　I am ashamed of my fault.
• attached to 付随して He is still attached to her. (未練がある）
• aware of 気がついて I am aware of the risk.
• bad at　下手で　I am bad at cooking.
• based on 元に　The movie was made based on the incident.
• bored with 飽きた　I am bored with the same story.
• busy with 忙しい　He is busy with the preparation work.
• certain about 確信して　I am not certain about it.
• conscious of 自覚して　I am conscious of the problem.
• crazy about 熱中して　She is crazy about the Japanese manga.
• curious about 興味がある　I am curious about the exchange rate.
• delighted to 喜んで　I would be delighted to visit there.
• different from 違って　I am different from my father.
• eager to 熱意がある　I am eager to go to Hawaii.
• envious of 羨ましい　He is envious of her success.
• experienced in 経験がある　She is experienced in cooking.

 

動詞と前置詞あるいは形容詞と前置詞等それぞれ組み合わせがあり

それらをカタマリで覚えておくと話す時にもスンナリ口から出てきます。

フレーズをつながりで、カタマリで口に出して繰り返していると

自然に身体でそのフレーズを覚えることができるようになります。

頭で考えないで口で喋って身体で覚えるようにやってみましょう。
