英語の副詞deeplyは誰でも知っている単語でしょう。

学校のテストでも出てくるような基礎単語です。

英語には副詞＋形容詞のペアで良く使う組合せがあります。

このdeeplyもいろいろな形容詞と共に会話で使われます。

良く使われる組合せについて確認しましょう。

 

１．deeply worried

        I am deeply worried about you.

２．deeply unhappy

         I am deeply unhappy.

３．deeply regret

         I deeply regret my mistake.

４．deeply competitive

         The game was deeply competitive.

５．deeply divided

        The group was deeply divided now.

６．deeply committed

        It was a deeply committed performance.

７．deeply ashamed

        I am deeply ashamed of what I have done.

８．deeply affected

        The computer system was deeply affected by the accident.

英語の前置詞は簡単な単語ですが、大事な単語です。

文章の中で大きな意味を発揮するのが前置詞です。

簡単ですが、疎かにできないので繰り返し学習しましょう。

 

諺は世界中、どこの国でもありますが、

英語の諺で日本語の諺に該当するものを探してみます。

英語の諺から日本語の諺を想像してみましょう。
