会議で英語を使うことがありますか？英語で議論できますか？
仕事で英語を使う場合、会議や議論の場面には必ず出くわすものです。
どのような会議や議論であれ、そんな場面で使う定型の言い方を覚えましょう。
難しく考えて自分で作文するよりもサンプルがあれば
それをそのまま活用する方が便利で効率的です。
会議や議論で使えるパターン表現を確認しましょう。
１．相手の意見を聞く場合
- What is your opinion about this problem?
- Could you tell me your view about this issue?
- What do you think about this problem?
- May I ask your opinion about this issue?
２．説明を求める場合
- Could you explain to me more in detail?
- Just tell me the reason why you think so?
- Are you saying that (we should negotiate with them)?
- What do you mean by that?
- I couldn’t understand what you said. Please explain more.
３．自分の意見を述べる場合
- I think ～
- If you want my opinion, I believe ～
- Let me put it this way. I feel that ～
- In my opinion, I think ～
- The point I am trying to make is ～
４．相手の意見に合意する場合
- I agree with you.
- I couldn’t agree with you more.
- I completely agree with you on this point.
- I think so, too.
- That’s just how I see it, too.
- That’s exactly what I mean.
- You are quite right.
５．賛成、でも、、、の場合
- Yes, perhaps so, but ～
- I agree up to a certain point, but ～
- I see what you mean, but I think that’s not the whole story.
- You may b right there.
- Yes, but there’s also another aspect to consider.
６．相手に反対の場合
- I disagree with you.
- I am not so sure.
- I am sorry I can’t agree.
- I don’t think so.
- I can’t go all the way with yo on that point.
- I am not convinced on that point.
