英語の品詞はいろいろあります。
動詞、形容詞、副詞、名詞、前置詞等々お馴染みです。
英会話で話をする時にそれぞれの品詞の組合せができます。
会話をする時にそれを意識する人はあまりいないと思いますが
自然の組合せで誰でも自然に話していることです。
改めてその組み合わせのタイプを見てみましょう。
「パターンを覚えれば」英会話も上達します。
★ 品詞の組合せパターン
１．副詞＋形容詞
- I am fully aware of the risk.
- His name was badly affected by the scandal.
- She was deeply impressed by the scene.
- It was highly appreciated by all.
- The meal was ridiculously funny and tasteless.
２．形容詞＋名詞
- I like bright color.
- We had a brief discussion this morning.
- He is facing a major issue right now.
- She has a younger brother.
- We had a big surprise at the party.
３．名詞＋名詞
- We are at the negotiation table.
- I don’t know his arrival time.
- He is a head instructor of the club.
- I lost my credit card yesterday.
- They are having a discount sale this week.
４．名詞＋動詞
- The company established this year was bankrupt.
- The project developed the local area drastically.
- The economy shrink this year.
５．動詞＋名詞
- They poses a problem to solve now.
- I have to do my homework.
- The invention created opportunities for us.
- Please tell your name at the desk.
- She got a shock when she witnessed it.
６．動詞＋前置詞
- She burst into tears.
- He apologized for his mistake.
- I thank him for the mail.
- She graduated from the university this year.
- He succeeded in getting a new job.
７．動詞＋副詞
- She touched me gently.
- He whispered softly.
- He run fast around the park.
- We worked hard to complete the task.
- She rejected sharply when he proposed her.
８．名詞＋前置詞
- What’s the reason for your rejection?
- You have the responsibility for the mission.
- His fear of flying made the trip difficult.
- I received an invitation for the party.
- My relationship with her is dying.
９．形容詞＋前置詞
- New York is famous for its skyscrapers.
- He is good at playing the guitar.
- I am responsible for the task.
- She is very skilled in cooking.
- I am sorry about forgetting the promise.
英会話上達のコツは、パターンを押さえることです。
英単語をひとつづつ覚えるよりも単語のつながり、関連性等を
良く見てそれぞれのパターンや関係性、カタマリ等に気をつけましょう。
単語もつながりで覚えると記憶に定着しやすくなります。
